what size candle should I purchase?

 Here are some general guidelines about our candle sizes and where they perform best.  
  • 8 oz - This size works well in a master bath, office or small bedroom. 
  • 12.5oz- This size performs well in living rooms, kitchens and large areas.  

ON THE FIRST BURN dOES IT NEED TO burn to the edge?

Our candles are made from natural coconut waxes and because of this, the answer is no. Unlike soy, beeswax or paraffin wax, coconut wax doesn’t have a “memory” so it’s not necessary to burn your candle to the edge the first time. Each time you burn your candle it will spread until it reaches the the edge. 

Why is there wax remaining on the edges of the container when I burn my candle?

Because coconut wax burns slower the wax will not always burn off on the edges after the first or second, or even the third burn. Eventually the flame will “catch up” and any wax hang up will melt. 

Why do you only ship Monday - Wednesday from May - September?

Because we ship from South Texas. If you’ve never visited South Texas, it’s basically summer 8 months out of the year and the other 4 months we are getting ready for summer. Its’ hot.

So rather than ship your candles out on a Thursday knowing they are likely to sit on un-airconditioned trucks or in un-airconditioned warehouses through the weekend, and completely liquify, we choose to ship only Monday - Wednesday during our hottest months. Even then we take extra precautions using Cool Shield to protect our candles because we simply want to protect your purchase.

Can I still get refills for older vessel designs? 

Yes! The new refills will fit into your old vessels. HOWEVER, they will not be a perfect fit. Once you light your refill and burn it, it will melt right down and fit perfectly into your new vessel. The size equivalents are as follows:
8oz jar - 8oz refill
15oz jar - 12.5oz refill

Do I have to join the refill subscription program to buy a refill?

No. You can purchase one refill at a time and opt not to join the refill program. However, you do benefit from additional savings when you join the monthly subscription program.

I’ve never heard of coconut wax, why do you use it instead of soy or paraffin wax? 

I chose coconut wax for my candles for a lot of different reasons. In my opinion, it is a sustainable, luxury wax that coincides with the values and practices I founded this brand on. 

Coconut wax is a SAFE, NATURAL, CLEAN BURNING wax + it’s so eco friendly in comparison to traditional petroleum based or soy waxes that most of your big box candle brands use.

Yes, coconut wax is a little more temperamental to work with and she's a little pricey, but I can be a moody bougie b*tch too, so I get it. I'm not judging.

Coconut wax offers so many benefits:
vegan, non-GMO, plant based, slow even burn, natural, non-toxic, less deforestation, eco friendly & renewable, amazing scent throw, and a clean soot-free burn.
